When i was ten and young,
I wanted to climb a tree,
So i got a ladder hung,
On the highest branch i could see.
I started from the bark,
Slowly making my way up,
Scraping my fingers and toes,
I struggled looking for holes.
To support me on my climb,
To avoid me falling behind
I wrapped myself around the tree,
And wouldn't let anyone near me.
LET ME CLIMB THE TREE IN PEACE,
I shouted, hollered, and screamed,
For on the top of that very tree,
Was an icecream just for me.

Tuesday, July 22, 2008 Magical
The thick white mist wrapping around,
The bright crescent moon,
An amazing sight,
It's a magical night,
Tonight.
There's an air of magic,
A cup of love,
A saucer of trust,
And a spoonful of hope.
A magical night,
Everyone can see,
It's all connected,
Just like you and me.
Saturday, July 19, 2008 Rakan (Friend)
Sudah lama aku menunggumu,
Berdiri di hadapan halamanmu,
Berdoa boleh berjumpa.
Namun,
Engkau tidak kelihatan,
Engkau tidak datang!
Kesakitan yang mendalam
Mengenggam hatiku.
Mengapakah aku
perlu menanti?
Rakan,
Aku berharap
Aku berdoa
Engkau akan pulang
Kepadaku,
Nanti.
My friend,
I've been waiting for so long,
Standing in front of your compound,
Praying that we meet.
But,
You're not seen
You're not here!
A cutting pain,
Grasps my heart.
Why do I have to wait?
My friend,
I hope,
I pray,
You will come back to me,
One day.
Monday, July 14, 2008 Let Her
When a girl needs you?
Let her cry,
Just one more time,
Then wipe away her tears,
It'll get rid of her fears.
Let her laugh,
With all her heart,
Say something sweet,
It'll make her smile.
Let her sleep,
It'll bring her peace,
Hold her close,
And give her a kiss.
Let her speak,
It'll clear her mind,
Just listen to her,
It'll make sense in time.
Let her dance,
It'll be her release,
Watch her closely,
It'll make her blush.
Let her sing,
It'll make her happy,
Ignore the rest,
And it's all set.
But if the times comes,
Where it becomes too late,
Let her leave,
Let her walk away.
Saturday, July 12, 2008 Cupcakes
Cupcakes
I sat in a corner,
Counting my hoard,
Grinning happily,
At the cupcakes galore.
Fresh, stale, it mattered not,
Baked, stolen, even bought,
My beautiful icing covered cupcakes,
I'll protect them; whatever it takes!
I shall name my room the Cupcake Place,
And ensure that they all stay safe,
There'll be security, freezers, and ovens too,
You touch my cupcakes, you're dead, mind you.
Cupcakes have feelings,
I know they do,
So you'd better not eat them,
Coz that's just cruel!
Wednesday, July 9, 2008 No More Lice
Wishing I had some money,
Seeing the colourful signs on the door,
Tempting my empty tummy.
Holding back my many tears,
I backed away from the shop,
Along came some of my peers,
Each sucking a lolly pop.
I turned away as they walked by,
Hiding my face from their eyes,
For I sure wasn't a pretty sight,
With a filthy face and hair with lice.
When I was sure that they were gone,
I ran and ran to a pond,
Seeing my reflection in the mirror,
I cried and prayed a silent prayer.
Suddenly, I heard a tapping sound,
It was a small woodpecker on the ground,
The bird looked up and surprisingly said,
"Oh gee, you're dressed just like a maid."
I was shocked to hear the little bird speak,
Especially one that looked so meek,
"You're a princess, my dear; a fine one at that,
You once helped us get rid of three cats."
Scratching my head in confusion,
I sat down and came to a conclusion,
"I'm dreaming," I said, convincing myself,
But suddenly I got poked by a tiny elf.
He squeaked and shouted with all his might,
"You're not dreaming! You're not, alright!"
I looked at the elf and had to believe him,
He was the smallest creature I'd ever seen.
I wasn't dreaming,
I wasn't,
This is all real,
I can live in a castle and eat a proper meal.
Oh, yippie! Oh, yay!
What a happy day,
I'm a princess, oh, yea!
And I'm here to stay.
From that day onwards,
I had a happy life,
And never again,
Did my hair have lice.
Friday, July 4, 2008 All She Needed
All She Needed
Patiently awaiting his return,
She sat under the big tall tree,
Remembering how they sat in turn,
On the rubber tube overlooking the sea.
She stood up and turned as she heard a sound,
Behind was the man she was waiting for,
He looked at her and turned around,
She sobbed and sobbed as her heart tore.
Lifting her eyes to the heavens above,
Wondering why it happened to her,
He was handsome and charming, the man she loved,
He was also the envy of most of her peers.
He had never hurt her in any way,
Until she saw them one fateful day,
They were sitting under this very tree,
Kissing and hugging so passionately.
She shouted and sweared before breaking down,
Her voice; so loud could be heard all over town,
The villagers thought that someone had died,
But it was only the girl who cried and cried.
She remembered how he apologized that day,
Convincing her that everything was okay,
She didn't believe him but looked in his eyes,
And immedietely, her tears started to dry.
But he lied and broke her heart again,
By walking away; down this lane,
Everything was not okay,
And she knew that there was no other way.
Gathering what courage she had,
Emotions took over; both happy and sad,
She ran to him and ended it,
The reality of it took long to hit.
But when it did,
She was so very glad,
No longer a burden she had to have,
She looked for a man she didn't have to share,
A man that took the time to care.
Succeed she did and loved him so,
He was a man she was glad to hold,
Caring and compassionate,
Loving and kind,
He was all she needed,
For all time.
Thursday, July 3, 2008 My Friend
Everyone hates you,
I'm not surprised,
From what you say,
You can make some cry.
You're rude and conceited,
Insulting and mean,
You have loads of "friends"
You know what I mean.
What happened to the girl?
The one I used to know?
What happened to the friend?
The one that used to care?
What happened to the pal?
The one who was there?
She's gone, I know,
But I want her back.
She's lost, doesn't know
The way to come back
I wanna help,
You know I do,
Just open up,
Like we used to.
Before the boys and cliques,
And the clothes and cash,
The jobs and angst,
That didn't belong there.
Let there be peace,
Let's end this war,
Let's join our hands,
Together, we'll stand.
