Tuesday, September 30, 2008 Slice, Dice, Cut

Chop chop chop,
Steady,
Hold it still.

Slice slice slice,
Blade glinting,
Pieces now.

Dice dice dice,
Smaller and smaller it becomes,
Till powder is left.

Cut cut cut,
Laugh,
As it screams.

Yeah.. I hate vegetables.

Sunday, September 28, 2008 There's Always Time

Tick... tock.
The clock ticks,
The world spins.

Tick.. tock.
The sun comes up,
The birds fly.

Tick.. tock.
I wake up.
There's always time.

Sunday, September 21, 2008 Midnight Homework

I shot out of bed,
Rubbing the sleep outta my eyes,
For I had just remembered,
I had homework that night!

I rushed to my table,
Tripping over my own feet,
I guess I wasn't really stable,
Since my mind was half asleep.

But then I forced myself to sit,
And began to sort the homework heap,
But before I could start on anything,
There and then, I fell asleep.

AHHAH. Alright, enough of my four verse poems. The next few will be those emotional stuff. (:

Saturday, September 20, 2008 Colourful House

I laid out my pens,
Green, yellow, and blue,
As I tried to draw pictures,
On my brand new notebook.

I was lying on the grass,
In the field behind my house,
Waiting for inspiration,
As I was filled with frustration.

Then I got an idea,
And started sketching really fast,
And after about an hour,
I finally finished it at last.

It was a drawing of my house,
In green, yellow, and blue,
It looked really pretty,
I swear it's true.

Friday, September 19, 2008 My Day out at 7 Eleven

So, I pulled out my coins,
And counted them bit by bit,
I even heard someone say,
'Will someone help that creep?"

For I was buying a packet of gum,
And didn't really have much cash,
I wanted to ask my mom for some,
But I didn't want to make her mad.

Here I stand in 7 eleven,
I've started a really long line,
I began to count coins at seven,
But now it's already nine.

The people behind me are angry,
They look ready to kill,
Some little kid who had icecream,
Is now standing in a pool.

As I pulled out the last dime,
I sighed loudly in relief,
Only to realize,
That the cashier had fallen asleep.

Haven't written one like this in a while. :)

Tuesday, September 16, 2008 Stories for the Soul

I lay down upon the ground,
Lying on my tummy,
Waiting eagerly for
my grandpa to start his story.

He would wave his arms
As he told his tale,
His eyes expressive and dreamy.

I would sit entranced as he uttered each word,
My mind conjuring up images,
Of magical lands
and colourful frocks,
and beautiful horse driven carriages.

Thursday, September 11, 2008 A Poem For A Broken Heart

A Poem For A Broken Heart

Kick, pound, grind,
Destroy,
Wreck, demolish, tear.

Broken pieces,
Smashed, scattered, lost.

Fragments missing,
Forever apart,
Help me find,
The pieces of my heart.

Monday, September 8, 2008 Walk Away

Walk Away

As I turned away,
He pulled me back,
His arms around my waist,
Telling me I was safe.

As I turned away,
He made me face him,
To look into his eyes,
As he told me that he loved me.

As I turned away,
He didn't let me go,
Held me tight,
Let me cry.

But in actuality,
He let me walk away,
Turn my back on our love,
For he had nothing to say.

Well, if you don't get it, this poem's about a girl who wants to end her relationship. All she wanted was for him to hold her back and stop her from ending it, but he didn't.

It's basically her disappointment in him giving her up so easily.
